Andorra welcomes the 2025 Games of the Small States of Europe

From May 26 to 31, 2025, Andorra proudly hosts a new edition of the Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE) — a major sporting event that brings together over 1,000 athletes from nine nations with populations under one million: Andorra, Cyprus, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, and San Marino.

This is the third time the Principality hosts the Games, after the 1991 and 2005 editions, and it does so at a time when Andorra shines brighter than ever as a tourist, cultural and sports destination. A country united by sport

For one week, Andorra transforms into an open-air stadium, with events taking place in different parishes across the country:

• Andorra la Vella will host athletics, swimming, basketball and judo.
• Encamp will be home to volleyball matches.
• Ordino welcomes mountain biking.
• Sant Julià de Lòria will feature table tennis.
• Canillo and La Massana will host road cycling and shooting competitions.

The opening ceremony at the National Stadium was a dazzling spectacle of symbolism, tradition and excitement — featuring legendary Andorran figures like the Tamarro and Dama Blanca, along with the athletes parading under the flags of peace and mutual respect.
